Only my rudimentary (at best) sewing skills are holding me back from doing similar. Ideally I'd like to cut a thin strip of material from the bottom and then add a wide white ribbon type material and sew the cat print material on the bottom of that. Courage! Argh ;)

Stef--I for one greatly appreciate the whimsy in your style--I love the pink cap, the cats in the print, and the plastic purse. Aging, no matter what we do to stave it off, IS inevitable. Ah you posted it! I am still planning to add a little white hem so it is a bit longer - which perhaps taps into your whole discussion here? I know so so many ladies who do shorter lengths beautifully (like you!), but I feel like I'm a bit old (and my legs a bit round) for that now. And at the same time, it drives me nuts, when I am shopping with my mum - she is constantly holding things up saying "is this too mutton dressed as lamb?". Gah! Who cares? If it fits and you like it - go for it!

Very interesting. I love childlike style and dressing (and usually want to buy the toddler dresses on ebay), but always feel like my own dressing is kind of too adult. Well, not so much now that I am an adult I guess. I try and child-i-fy myself a bit, but then things like kneesocks kind of feel wrong at my age. And I was all set to buy a velvet hairbow after Christmas, but my mom totally vetoed it. I should not have listened to her.

As for wrinkles etc. I feel that we're all a bit glib about it sometimes. I agree that crows feet are find where as worry lines are to be avoided, but the signs of aging that are most pissing me off have neither happy nor sad connotations... what's with these bags under my eyes?!?!

Hehe, anyway, I'm in agreement over looking forward to spring/summer! Bring on the candy hues!
